Insurance Problem
A businessman took out a fire insurance policy and on the same day his firm was burned to the ground.
The insurance company suspected fraud but was unable to prove anything. It had to content itself with writing the following letter:
"Dear Sir, you took out an insurance policy at 10 a.m. and your fire did not break out until 3.30 p.m. Will you kindly explain the delay?"
